I'm David Robbins. I own and operate Space City Strategic Marketing, a Houston-based marketing consultancy serving businesses across the country. My work is strategic and built around what your business needs. I take on the kind of marketing that requires someone to genuinely understand how your business works, then build the system that moves it forward.
Marketing works best as a connected system. SEO, ads, your website, your social presence, your local presence, your content: each piece performs better when they're built to work together than when they're handled in isolation. My work starts with understanding your business: your goals, how it makes money, who your customers are, and where the friction is. The marketing strategy follows from there.
Part of how I build marketing systems is by handling the technical layer myself. Custom integrations, webhooks, automations, e-commerce infrastructure. When the right move is connecting your storefront to a warehouse inventory system, or building a data pipeline between vendors and your platform, or automating a workflow that's eating hours of manual work, I can build it. Not recommend a vendor, not hand it off, build it.
Strategy and technical execution aren't separate decisions. Knowing what's possible technically changes what's worth strategizing about, and knowing the business changes how the technical work should be built.
Before this, I taught science and engineering at the high school level. The assigned work was project-based, which meant most of my time was spent designing the projects themselves: sequencing steps that built toward real outcomes, anticipating where students would get stuck, running checks along the way to see what was working, and adjusting when something wasn't. That kind of work is closer to building a marketing strategy than most people would guess. You're designing toward an outcome, identifying the failure points before they happen, and adapting based on what you actually see rather than what was supposed to work.
A note on how I work: I'm not here to agree with you or tell you what you want to hear. I'm here to think through your business honestly and help you make decisions you won't regret. Sometimes that means recommending a smaller scope than you came in expecting. Sometimes it means pushing back on an idea you're attached to. Sometimes it means telling you that the marketing problem you described isn't actually your real problem.
What you'll get is honest strategy, calculated decisions, and someone who's invested in your business doing well — not just in delivering a project.
Working together starts with a conversation about your business: what's working, what isn't, and where you want it to go. That conversation tells me whether what I do is what you truly need.
From there, you'll work with me through every part — the strategy, the execution, the measurement, and the adjustments along the way. You won't be guessing about what's happening or wondering whether it's working. You'll know.
Smart marketing starts with the right strategy and the right person behind it. Tell me where your business is and where you want it to go; let's see if we're the right fit. If you'd like to see live examples of past work, just say so.
